Chassis Repair
Most cars today have no separate chassis. The body itself, a welded shell called a unibody, is the structure. Chassis repair means measuring that shell in three dimensions against the maker's figures and pulling or replacing sections until it is back within tolerance.

Signs you need chassis repair
- The car drifts to one side on a straight road even after an alignment
- Uneven gaps between the bonnet, wings and doors, or a door that rubs
- Tyres wearing on one edge soon after a collision
- The steering wheel is off-centre while the car is going straight
- Creaks or clunks from the floor or the front end over bumps
- A wheel visibly not centred in its arch
- Doors that no longer close with the same sound or need to be slammed
What usually causes it
Front or rear rail deformation
The long members running under the car front and rear are designed to fold in a crash. If they bend, the suspension mounting points move out of position.
Pillar and floor damage
A side impact pushes the door pillars and floor, which carry crash loads between the front and rear of the car.
Subframe displacement
Engine and suspension subframes bolt to the body. Impact can shift or bend them without any visible crumpling.
Kerb or pothole strikes
A hard hit at speed can bend a suspension mount, even with no accident in the usual sense.
How we do chassis repair
- 1
Measure before touching anything
The car is mounted on a bench with a measuring system that compares key points against factory data. The printout shows exactly how far each point is out.
- 2
Pull the structure back
Hydraulic towers apply controlled force in the direction opposite to the damage. Measurement continues during the pull, not only at the end.
- 3
Replace what cannot be straightened
Some high-strength steel parts cannot be heated or re-pulled and must be replaced. We follow the maker's repair information on where and how sections can be cut and joined.
- 4
Weld, seal and protect
New sections are joined using the specified method, and seam sealer and corrosion protection are restored.
- 5
Final measurement and alignment
A second measurement confirms the shell is within tolerance, and a four-wheel alignment checks the result on the road.
In Dubai, Sharjah and Ajman
Because of high-speed roads and a large number of used imports, we see cars arrive with earlier accident repairs of unknown quality. A measurement printout shows whether the shell is true, which is useful both for your own safety and for resale value. Ask for the before and after printouts, and keep them with the car's papers. If you bought your car second-hand, a measurement check can reveal an old repair that the seller did not mention.
Questions about chassis repair
Is a straightened chassis as strong as new?
Done to the maker's procedure, within tolerance, it performs as designed. Poor methods such as heating high-strength steel weaken it, which is why method matters.
How do I know it was done correctly?
The measurement printouts before and after. We give you copies.
Will it affect resale value?
A car with accident history is worth less, but a documented, correct repair is better than a hidden or unfinished one.
Do you straighten body-on-frame trucks too?
Yes, and those are covered on our frame repair and alignment page, because they use a different structure.
How can I tell if my car has chassis damage?
Warning signs are uneven gaps, tyre wear on one edge and a pull that alignment does not remove. Only a measurement confirms it, and we can do that before you decide anything.
Will an insurer cover this?
If the damage comes from a covered accident, structural repair is usually part of the claim. Check with your insurer, and we can provide the measurement report to support it.
