Full Car Painting
A full repaint puts a new finish on every painted panel of the car. The spraying itself is the short part. What decides whether the result lasts is the preparation underneath: the dents, rust and old paint that must be dealt with before any colour goes on.

How we do full car painting
- 1
Measure and assess the whole car
We check paint thickness panel by panel to see what has been repainted before, note dents and rust, and agree the scope with you in writing.
- 2
Strip trim and repair the metal
Lights, handles, badges, mouldings and rubbers are removed so edges are painted properly. Dents are straightened, rust is cut out or treated, and filler is kept thin.
- 3
Sand, prime and seal
Surfaces are sanded to a uniform key, primed, flatted and sealed so the new colour sits evenly with no ghost of old repairs.
- 4
Spray colour and clear in the booth
The mixed colour goes on in controlled coats in a dust-controlled booth, followed by clear coat that is baked to harden.
- 5
Cut, polish and reassemble
After curing, small dust nibs are removed, the surface is polished to a mirror, and everything is refitted and checked for gaps and alignment.
Why get a full respray
- Paint that has faded, chalked or gone patchy on the roof, bonnet and boot across the car
- Clear coat peeling in large sheets, leaving a dull base colour underneath
- Mismatched panels from several earlier repairs, so the car looks like it has two shades
- Scattered rust blisters starting at the wheel arches, door bottoms and window edges
- Chips and scratches too numerous to touch up one at a time
- A car you plan to keep for years that has been rubbed through by polishing
What usually causes it
Years of intense sunshine
UV breaks down the clear coat first and then the colour. Horizontal surfaces such as the roof and bonnet go first, which is why they fail long before the doors do.
Repeated polishing on thin paint
Factory paint is only a fraction of a millimetre thick. Machine polishing over the years can wear through the clear layer, exposing colour that then fades quickly.
Earlier cheap respray
Paint applied without proper preparation lifts, bubbles or cracks after a few summers, and it must be removed rather than painted over.
Corrosion under the paint
Coastal air, wash water and stone chips let moisture in. Rust spreads sideways under the paint, so it is bigger than it looks.
In Dubai, Sharjah and Ajman
The same sun that ages paint also dictates how we plan the job: new paint needs time to harden fully, so we advise keeping the car out of direct summer sun and away from car-wash brushes for the first weeks. If you have a dark colour, ask about a quality UV-resistant clear coat, because dark paint shows swirl marks and heat damage most.
Questions about full car painting
How long does a full respray take?
Usually between five and ten working days. Heavy rust or accident damage adds time, and the quote states what we expect once we have inspected the car.
Will the new paint match the factory colour?
We use the paint code from the car and match to the original. If you want to change colour, see our colour change page, because the registration paperwork matters there.
Do you repaint the door jambs and under the bonnet?
It is optional. For a same-colour repaint, many owners skip these areas, but they show when the doors are open, so we quote both ways if you ask.
Is pickup and delivery available?
Yes. Painting is done at our workshop, and we arrange pickup and delivery from your location.
