We check that the car sits level, test the height settings where possible and inspect the underbody for off-road damage, leaks and corrosion.

What usually causes it
Air suspension leaks and compressor failure
Air springs, valve blocks and compressors wear on Range Rovers, and a slow leak can hide until the car has been parked for hours. We check ride height, height-change operation and suspension faults.
Timing chain wear on some engines
Some 5.0 V8 engines from around 2010 to 2013 are known for timing chain tensioner and guide wear, and some 2.0 Ingenium engines have had timing chain stretch. We listen at start-up and look for records of work done.
Coolant leaks and plastic cooling parts
Water pumps, coolant pipes and expansion tanks are common leak points. A small loss of coolant on a hot engine can lead to overheating, so we look for residue and check fluid level and condition.
Electrical and infotainment faults
Battery drain, faulty sensors and screen problems are frequent complaints. A scan of all modules shows stored faults that the dash may not display.

Air suspension and the engine timing system get the most attention, along with electrical modules and the infotainment system.
Land Rover Defender and Discovery
We look closely at the underbody, axles and suspension for desert-driving damage, plus the usual air suspension checks on Discovery models.
In Dubai, Sharjah and Ajman
In the UAE, many Land Rovers spend weekends in the dunes and weekdays in city traffic. Sand, heat and heavy loads take a toll on suspension, cooling and underbody parts, and a car that has done both can hide damage under a clean exterior.

Can you inspect a Range Rover at Al Aweer or a used car showroom?
Yes. We come to the car at showrooms, private homes and car parks anywhere in Dubai, Sharjah and Ajman, as long as the seller allows the inspection.
Will you check for desert driving damage?
Yes. We look underneath for scrapes, bent parts, sand build-up and leaks, and note anything that suggests heavy off-road use.
How do I know if the air suspension is healthy?
We look for leaks, uneven height, slow height changes and stored faults. If the system is already struggling, it will usually show in at least one of those.
Can you repair the car after I buy it?
