Private Seller Car Inspection
Buying privately is often cheaper than buying from a dealer, but there is no warranty and no return policy once you pay. Our private seller car inspection gives you an independent check at the seller's home or office, so you are not relying only on the seller's word.

How we do private seller car inspection
- 1
Agree a time with the seller
Ask the seller for permission and a location, then book online or on WhatsApp. We confirm the time with you.
- 2
We go to the car
Our technician meets the seller at the car. You can be there or not; most buyers are not.
- 3
Inspection and report
We inspect the car according to your plan and send you the written report, so you see the findings before you talk price.
- 4
You decide
Use the report to negotiate, ask the seller to fix faults first, or walk away. We are happy to explain the findings by phone.
Why get a private sale inspected
- You found the car on Dubizzle, Facebook Marketplace or another classifieds site
- The seller is friendly and convincing, but you know nothing about cars
- You cannot take a day off to view the car with a mechanic
- The seller wants a deposit to hold the car
- The car needs to be transferred at an RTA or Tasjeel centre soon
- You want a written record of the car's condition before paying
What usually causes it
No warranty after the sale
Private sales are usually as seen. If a fault appears the week after you buy, it is your problem, so finding it beforehand matters most.
Sellers do not always know
Many sellers honestly do not know about leaks, worn parts or old accident repairs. An inspection finds what they have not noticed.
Documents that do not match
We check that the chassis number on the car matches the registration card you have been shown, and note anything unusual.
Pressure to decide quickly
Good cars sell fast in Dubai, and sellers know it. A fast inspection gives you facts without losing the car to another buyer.
By make and model
Popular family cars
Toyota, Nissan, Hyundai and Kia models are the most common private sales, and we check them for mileage, maintenance and accident history.
Luxury cars sold privately
BMW, Mercedes-Benz and Range Rover private sales carry higher repair risk, so the Standard or Comprehensive plan is the better choice.
In Dubai, Sharjah and Ajman
Many UAE residents sell their cars privately when they leave the country, which brings a steady supply of well-priced cars. Some are well looked after; others have had maintenance skipped in the months before departure. An inspection tells you which you are buying.
Questions about private seller car inspection
What if the seller refuses an inspection?
That is unusual for a genuine seller with nothing to hide. Many buyers walk away when the seller says no.
Do I need to be present?
No. We meet the seller at the car and you receive the report afterwards.
How quickly can you inspect?
Often the same or next day, depending on the seller's availability and our schedule. Book as early as you can.
Is this the same as the RTA test?
No. The RTA test checks whether the car can be registered. Our inspection checks whether it is worth buying.
Should I pay a deposit before the inspection?
We suggest not paying anything until you have the report. If the seller insists on a deposit, ask for a written note that it is refundable if the inspection finds problems.
