Seat Leather & Upholstery Repair
Seats take more wear than any other part of the cabin, and the cover fails long before the frame or the foam. Most damage can be repaired locally: a split seam is re-stitched, a torn panel is patched or replaced, and a worn bolster is rebuilt and re-coloured, without buying a new seat.

Signs you need seat leather & upholstery repair
- A split seam along the driver's seat bolster where you slide in and out
- Cracked, flaking leather on the seat base and backrest
- A cigarette burn, cut or tear in the fabric or leather
- A sagging or flattened seat cushion that no longer supports you
- Faded or worn colour where the leather has been rubbed by clothing
- Loose stitching or a panel that has pulled away from the seat frame
What usually causes it
Entry and exit friction
The outer bolster of the driver's seat is rubbed every time you get in. The leather's surface coating wears first, then the grain, and eventually the seam gives way.
Heat and dryness
Sun through the glass dries leather and shrinks it, which pulls on the stitching. Over years the surface cracks along the creases where the leather bends the most.
Foam collapse
Seat foam compresses with use, especially on the driver's side. Once it flattens, the cover is stretched over a hollow and wears or tears more easily.
Impact and accidents
Keys, tools, pet claws and child seats leave cuts and dents. After a collision, seat-mounted airbags and sensors need checking before any cover work is done.
How we do seat leather & upholstery repair
- 1
Assess the material and damage
We identify whether the seat is real leather, leatherette or fabric, and examine the foam beneath. Heated seats, airbags and sensors in the seat are noted before any work begins.
- 2
Remove the cover where needed
For stitched repairs and panel replacement, the seat comes out and the cover is unclipped from the frame. Small surface repairs on leather can be done without removing the seat.
- 3
Repair or replace the damaged part
Seams are re-stitched, torn panels patched or replaced, and worn foam rebuilt or replaced. Leather surface damage is filled, sanded smooth and prepared for colour.
- 4
Match colour and refit
The new surface is dyed and sealed to match the original as closely as possible, and the seat is refitted with all its electrical connectors checked. A seat belt and airbag warning light check closes the job.
In Dubai, Sharjah and Ajman
Seat leather in the Gulf spends summer at oven temperatures, so it dries and cracks faster than in cooler places. Window tinting, a windscreen sun shade and a regular conditioner all slow that down. Colour matching is done in daylight, because artificial light can hide small differences in shade.
Questions about seat leather & upholstery repair
Will a repaired seat look identical to the rest?
A good colour match is the aim, and in most cases the repair is hard to spot. On very worn or faded leather there can be a slight difference, which we point out beforehand.
Can you repair just one panel?
Often yes, as a single panel can be replaced or re-covered. Matching the material is the difficult part, so we show you the options on the quote.
Is it safe to repair a seat with an airbag?
It can be done with care. Seat airbags sit under the cover and have a specific stitching and wiring, so the work must keep them intact. We tell you if a seat should be left alone.
How do I get the seat to you?
Book online and we arrange pickup and delivery of the car. Everything is on the written quote, and you approve it before any work.
Is cleaning enough for my dirty seats?
If the leather is only dirty or dry, a clean and conditioning treatment is cheaper. Our interior deep cleaning page covers that, and repair is for splits, tears and wear.
