Windshield Tint Installation
The windscreen is the most regulated window on your car. A dark film there is not acceptable, but a clear or very light heat-rejecting film is what drivers usually mean when they ask for it. We confirm what is allowed before fitting anything.

How we do windshield tint installation
- 1
Confirm the rules for your vehicle
Dark film on the windscreen is not permitted, and only clear or very light film within the current UAE traffic limits can be considered. We tell you what we can and cannot fit.
- 2
Check the glass
Chips, cracks and sensor areas for rain or camera systems are inspected, because film must not cover them.
- 3
Cut around cameras and sensors
On cars with a lane or rain sensor, we keep the film clear of those areas as the manufacturer intends.
- 4
Install and clean up
The windscreen is cleaned inside and out, film is applied and shrunk to the curve, and the edges are sealed neatly.
Why tint the windshield
- Glare from the low sun makes the first and last hour of the day difficult
- The dashboard bakes through the windscreen even with side windows tinted
- You see the glass of the windscreen go hot to the touch in summer
- A former owner added a film that looks dark or uneven
- Your sunshade is a nuisance to put up and take down every day
- Your eyes feel tired after a long drive facing the sun on Emirates Road or the E311
What usually causes it
The windscreen is the largest single piece of glass
Slanted at a low angle, it takes more direct sun than any other window, and it lights up the dashboard.
Old or non-compliant film
An unclear or too-dark film can reduce your visibility and cause problems in a traffic stop or an inspection.
No clear windscreen option fitted
Many drivers cover side windows and leave the biggest heat source untouched.
In Dubai, Sharjah and Ajman
Windscreen rules are where the largest number of tint fines and failed inspections come from, and many online guides are out of date. The permitted visible light level is determined by the authorities, so we ask what your car needs and we will say no to anything that goes beyond it. A clear heat-rejecting film plus a good sunshade usually handles the problem in the Dubai summer without risk.
Questions about windshield tint installation
Is windscreen tint legal in the UAE?
Dark windscreen tint is not allowed. Only very clear films that meet the current rules are considered, and we confirm those with you first.
Will it interfere with my toll tag or camera?
We avoid the areas around sensors and the tag position, and use non-metallic film.
Does it help with glare?
A little. For strong low-sun glare, a good pair of sunglasses and a clean glass inside and out help more than film does.
What if my windscreen has a chip?
Repair or replace it before film goes on. Film over a chip hides the damage and can trap dirt.
Can I keep my existing sun strip at the top?
A band along the top of the windscreen may be treated differently from the main glass under the rules. We confirm what is currently permitted before offering it, and will not fit anything outside the limit.
Will an inspection pick up windscreen film?
A film that is too dark or damaged can be noted in a vehicle test. A clear compliant film that has been neatly fitted should not cause a problem, but we cannot guarantee how any inspector rules, so check the current requirements if you are unsure.
