Car Window Tinting

Window tint is a thin film applied to the inside of the glass. It cuts glare, keeps the cabin cooler and gives some privacy. How dark you go is limited by the law, so the first job is choosing a shade that suits your car and stays legal.

How we do car window tinting

  1. 1

    Choose the film and shade

We show you film types and shade options, and explain the limit that applies as per current UAE traffic rules, before cutting anything.

  2. 2

    Clean the glass thoroughly

Dust is the enemy of a clean finish. The glass is cleaned and the edges and rear window dots checked before the film touches it.

  3. 3

    Cut and shape

Film is cut to match each window, and curved rear glass is heat-shaped so it sits flat without creases.

  4. 4

    Apply and squeegee

The film goes on with a slip solution and every trace of water and air is pushed out from the middle to the edges.

  5. 5

    Curing advice

We tell you how long to leave the windows closed so the film bonds fully. Small water haze under the film in the first days is normal and clears.

Book car window tinting

Why tint your windows

  • The cabin feels like an oven after the car has been parked for an hour
  • Low sun glare on the morning drive towards Sharjah makes it hard to see
  • Dashboard and seats are fading or cracking where the sun hits them
  • Existing film has bubbled, turned purple or started to peel at the edges
  • You want more privacy for children or for belongings left in the car
  • A new car arrived with clear glass and you want it tinted before summer

What usually causes it

Strong, constant solar load

Glass lets in far more heat than the body panels do. Without film, the sun through the side and rear windows heats the seats and the air conditioning has to work harder.

Cheap dyed film that breaks down

Low-cost dyed film fades to purple and bubbles as the adhesive and dye degrade in UV. Replacing it means stripping the old layer first.

Wrong shade for the car

Film that is too dark is a night-driving problem and can attract a fine. Film that is too light does not solve the glare you wanted gone.

In Dubai, Sharjah and Ajman

Summer in the UAE is the reason most people tint, but the rules matter as much as the heat. The permitted darkness is set by the traffic authorities and has changed over time, so we confirm what applies now rather than rely on what a friend remembers. Tint that is too dark can mean a fine or a failed inspection, and removing it afterwards costs more than choosing the right shade the first time.

Questions about car window tinting

How dark can I go?

The limit is set by UAE traffic rules and differs for the windscreen, front side windows and rear glass. We confirm the current figure for your vehicle type when you book.

Will tint damage my rear window heating lines?

Not when fitted correctly. We take care around the demister lines and do not scrape across them during removal of old film.

How long before I can roll the windows down?

Usually a few days. The installer will give you the exact advice for the film used.

Can you remove old tint?

Yes. Removing aged film and its adhesive is a job in itself, and we include it in the quote if needed.
