Fluid Level Inspection & Top-Up
Cars lose small amounts of fluid and use up others, and a low level is often the first warning of a leak or a worn part. A fluid inspection checks every reservoir and compares the levels and condition with what is normal. A top-up of the right fluid can be done where your car is parked.

How we do fluid level inspection & top-up
- 1
Warm up and park level
Fluids read correctly only on level ground, and oil needs a few minutes to drain back after the engine stops. We make sure the car is in a good position.
- 2
Check every reservoir
Engine oil, coolant, brake and clutch fluid, power steering fluid and washer fluid are checked for level and condition. Colour, smell and particles are recorded.
- 3
Look for the reason
Hoses, joints and the ground below are inspected for wet marks. If a level is low without an obvious cause, we recommend further checks.
- 4
Top up the right fluid
We top up with the specification your car requires and tell you how much was added, so you can monitor losses. Nothing is overfilled, and we write the findings down.
Signs it is time
- A low-level light for oil, coolant or washer fluid on the dash
- A long highway trip or a holiday drive coming up
- Wet spots under the car after it has been parked
- Brake pedal getting lower, or steering getting heavier
- Coolant reservoir needing a top-up more than once between services
- You have not looked under the bonnet for months
What usually causes it
Normal consumption
Some engines use a small amount of oil between changes, and washer fluid is used up by dust on the windscreen. A slow, steady fall is not alarming.
External leaks
Hoses, gaskets and seals leak oil, coolant and power steering fluid. A level that drops in a week means a leak, which is cheaper to fix early.
Internal consumption
Oil burned in the cylinders, or coolant escaping into the engine through a damaged gasket, gives a falling level with a dry floor beneath the car.
Brake pad wear
As brake pads thin, the fluid level in the reservoir falls slowly. This is normal wear, not a leak, but it tells us the pads need checking.
In Dubai, Sharjah and Ajman
Before a drive to Abu Dhabi, Al Ain or Fujairah in summer, a quick fluid check is sensible. Coolant and engine oil are the two that matter most in 45 degree heat, and washer fluid runs out fast in dusty conditions, so we check them all before you set off.
Questions about fluid level inspection & top-up
Which fluids do you check?
Engine oil, coolant, brake and clutch fluid, power steering fluid where fitted and washer fluid. We can look at gearbox oil on request if it has a dipstick or check point.
Can any oil be used to top up?
No. We use the grade matching your engine. A small top-up of a compatible oil is acceptable, but a wrong grade in a modern engine is not.
Is this a replacement for a service?
No. It tells you the level and condition, but old fluid still needs to be renewed on schedule.
What if you find a leak?
We tell you where it comes from and quote the repair separately. A top-up gets you through, and we explain how long it is safe to wait.
How often should I check fluids myself?
Engine oil and coolant at least once a month in the Gulf summer, and before any long trip. If you would rather not lift the bonnet, we can do it at your location.
