Partial Wrap & Chrome Delete
A partial wrap covers only part of the car: the roof, the mirrors, the bonnet, stripes or the chrome trim. A chrome delete covers bright chrome around the windows, grille and badges with a black or coloured film. It changes the look of the car at a lower cost than a full wrap.

How we do partial wrap & chrome delete
- 1
Agree the parts and the finish
We walk around the car with you, mark each part to be covered, and choose the film: gloss black, satin black, carbon, a colour or a brushed finish. The quote lists every part.
- 2
Clean and prepare
Trim is cleaned and degreased, since polish and wax stop the film sticking. Pitted chrome is checked, because deep pits can show through thin film.
- 3
Fit, trim and tuck
Window trim and grille bars are covered strip by strip, with the film tucked behind the seals. Larger areas like the roof are wrapped in one piece and edge-sealed.
- 4
Check and advise
We review everything in daylight, correct any lifting, and tell you how to wash and care for the film. Door seals and window rubbers are checked to make sure they have not been disturbed.
Why get a partial wrap or chrome delete
- Chrome window trim or grille that you want in gloss or satin black
- A roof or bonnet you want in a contrasting colour
- Mirror caps, spoiler or pillars you want in carbon or black
- Worn or pitted chrome that is not worth re-plating
- A stripe, logo or accent that you would like along the body
- A damaged panel you want to cover without repainting
What usually causes it
Chrome is shiny and highly visible
Bright trim stands out against a dark car. Covering it in black film is the quickest way to give a car a darker, more modern look, and it can be removed again later.
Contrast panels create a different look
A black roof or a carbon bonnet changes the shape of the car visually. Because a wrap is not permanent, you can try it, and the original paint stays underneath.
Small areas are fussy
Thin trim, window frames and grille bars need patient fitting around tight edges and rubber seals. A small job still takes careful work, and a rushed one lifts at the corners.
Colour registration may not apply
Covering trim or a roof is not usually a change of the main body colour. If a large share of the visible body changes colour, ask the licensing authority whether it needs to be recorded.
In Dubai, Sharjah and Ajman
Black film on a roof or bonnet gets very hot in the sun, so the film choice matters, and shaded parking helps. A chrome delete is a popular change on white and dark cars in the emirates, and because it comes off again, it is a low-risk way to try a new look.
Questions about partial wrap & chrome delete
Can a chrome delete be removed?
Yes. It is film on top of the chrome and can be peeled off. Chrome in good condition will be as it was. Chrome that was already peeling or pitted may lift further when the film comes off.
Can you wrap just the roof?
Yes. A roof wrap is one of the most common partial wraps. We choose the film for sun exposure and seal the edges so water does not get under.
Is a partial wrap cheaper than a full wrap?
Generally it takes less film and less time, so yes. The quote lists each part and its cost, so you can add or remove areas to suit your budget.
Will it affect my warranty or inspection?
Covering trim in black does not affect how the car works. Reflective or tinted lighting covers can cause trouble, so we do not cover lights in a way that reduces brightness.
