Tyre Replacement Service

Replacing tyres is not only about tread depth. In Dubai heat, rubber ages and cracks long before the tread wears out, so the decision depends on age, damage and how the car is used. We inspect all four tyres and tell you honestly which ones need to go and which can stay.

How we do tyre replacement service

  1. 1

Read the tyre, not just the tread

We check the date code, sidewall condition, tread depth in several places across each tyre, and any plugs or previous repairs.

  2. 2

Match the size and rating to your car

We read the size, speed rating and load index from the door placard and the existing tyres, then offer options in your budget range. You choose the brand; the choice and the price are on the written quote.

  3. 3

    Fit and balance

Old tyres come off the rim, the bead seat is cleaned, new valve parts are fitted where needed, and each wheel is balanced on the machine so the steering stays smooth at speed.

  4. 4

    Torque and recheck

Wheel nuts are tightened in sequence to the correct torque, pressures are set cold to the placard figure, and the car is handed back with the old tyres' wear pattern explained.

Signs it is time

  • The tread bars are level with the rubber, or a coin test shows almost no groove left
  • Fine cracks in the sidewall or between the tread blocks, often worse on the side that faces the sun when parked
  • A bulge or bubble on the sidewall after hitting a pothole or kerb
  • The car aquaplanes or slides on the rare wet day, even at modest speed
  • A steady vibration through the steering wheel that balancing did not cure
  • The tyre keeps losing pressure and the same wheel is always the soft one

What usually causes it

Heat ageing, not mileage

A car that sits in a car park all summer can have tyres that look fine but have hardened. The date code on the sidewall (four digits, week then year) tells us how old the tyre really is, and old rubber loses grip in the wet and is more likely to fail at highway speed.

Uneven wear from alignment or pressure

Wear concentrated on one shoulder points to alignment or suspension, and a worn centre points to over-inflation. Replacing tyres without fixing the cause just wears the new set out the same way, so we note the pattern before we quote.

Impact and kerb damage

A hard hit can break the internal cords without leaving a visible cut. The bulge may appear days later. A tyre with this kind of damage cannot be repaired and should not be driven on.

Wrong size or load rating for the job

SUVs carrying family and luggage, or pickups used on site, need the correct load index. A tyre that looks identical but carries a lower rating wears and overheats faster.

By make and model

BMW and Mini

Many are fitted with run-flat tyres. They have stiffer sidewalls, can hide a slow puncture, and replacements must be the correct run-flat type, not an ordinary tyre.

Toyota Land Cruiser and Prado

These are often fitted with larger all-terrain or highway-terrain tyres, and the load index matters more than on a saloon.

In Dubai, Sharjah and Ajman

Parked tyres in a Dubai summer sit on asphalt that can be far hotter than the air, and the rubber ages faster than the brochure expects. If your car spent a summer outdoors and the tyres are more than a few years old, ask us to read the date code even when the tread looks healthy. Tyres bought online or from a sale lot can also be older than they seem, so we check before fitting.

Questions about tyre replacement service

How do I know how old my tyres are?

Look for the code starting with DOT on the sidewall. The last four digits are the week and year of manufacture, for example 2321 means the 23rd week of 2021. We read it for you during the inspection.

Do I have to replace all four at once?

Not always. If the other pair is in good condition, replacing two on the same axle is sometimes fine. On four-wheel-drive cars the tread depths often need to be close, and we explain when a full set is the safer choice.

Can I choose cheaper tyres?

Yes. We quote options across budget, mid and premium ranges for your size, and you pick. We will tell you plainly if an option has a poor wet-grip reputation or the wrong rating.

Do you handle pickup and delivery for tyre jobs?

Yes. The tyre work happens at our workshop, with pickup and delivery from Dubai, Sharjah or Ajman. Every cost is itemised on your written quote before anything starts.
