Flat Tyre Repair & Replacement
A fully flat tyre is a different problem from a slow puncture. How far and how fast the car was driven decides whether the tyre can be repaired or has to be replaced. Here is what we look for and how we get you moving again.

How we do flat tyre repair & replacement
- 1
Safe handling of a flat
If the car is still on a flat tyre we move it carefully, and if the wheel is locked or seized we deal with it before anything else.
- 2
Inflate and inspect
We reinflate the tyre to see if it holds, then remove it from the rim to inspect both walls and the rim itself.
- 3
Verdict in plain words
You get one of three answers: repair, replace the tyre, or replace the tyre and straighten or replace the rim. We show you the damage so it is clear why.
- 4
Do the work and return the car
If a new tyre is needed, we fit and balance it. The spare goes back in its place and you get the car back with correct pressures in all four tyres.
Signs it is time
- The tyre is flat on the rim after parking overnight or after a drive
- You are driving on the temporary spare and cannot go further than the limited speed it allows
- A flapping or thumping noise, and a smell of burnt rubber, after driving a short way on a flat
- The sidewall looks creased or folded where it met the road
- You cannot release the wheel nuts, or the locking wheel nut key is missing
What usually causes it
Sudden puncture at speed
A large screw or sharp object can leave a tyre empty within minutes. If you stopped quickly, the tyre may be fine to repair.
Rim bent or bead unseated
A hard pothole or kerb impact can bend the wheel lip or break the seal between tyre and rim, so the air escapes without any puncture in the rubber.
Valve failure
A snapped or perished valve stem drops pressure quickly. This is a cheap fix, not a new tyre.
Driven too far on a flat
Even a few hundred metres can chew up the inner wall. The tyre then has to be replaced, however clean the hole looks.
In Dubai, Sharjah and Ajman
The E11 and E311 at rush hour are not places to fix a tyre, and the hard shoulder is a risky spot in summer heat. If you are stuck, call us, and we will help arrange pickup and delivery of the car to our workshop where the job is done safely. Keep the locking wheel nut key somewhere reachable, because a missing key is the commonest reason a simple wheel change turns into a long wait.
Questions about flat tyre repair & replacement
Can I drive on the spare to your workshop?
Usually, if it is a full-size or space-saver spare and you keep to its speed limit. Tell us when you call so we can plan.
Will my tyre be repairable if I drove a little on it flat?
Sometimes, if only a short distance. We open the tyre and look at the inner wall before deciding, rather than guess.
Do you replace a single tyre or the pair?
We can replace one if the others are close in wear, but a very different tread depth on one axle can upset handling. We will advise on your car.
What if I lost the locking wheel nut key?
Tell us when you book. There are workshop methods to remove a locking nut, and we can quote for a replacement set.
